MarketWatch reports that Morningstar has acquired Fundamental Data Ltd., a leading provider of data on closed-end funds in the United Kingdom, for GBP11 million, subject to post-closing adjustments.
Morningstar say their "goal is to continue to build a world-class investment database" and this acquisition positions them "as a leading provider of global closed-end fund data." They add that these additional data-sets strengthen their offerings for individuals, advisors and institutions, particularly in the UK."
